FoodScoop is a mobile app that offers students an attractive user interface to see the meals being served at their favorite dining halls for each meal period. The app is brimming with features. Core features include a home page that provides users with detailed meal information such as images (if present), nutritional information, dietary information (vegetarian, halal, etc.), and lists of ingredients for all meals being served during the current meal period; user accounts where users can store personal preferences such as favorite dining halls and meals, dietary restrictions, and desired daily calorie intake; and filters that allow users to search for meals based on their saved preferences as well as other custom queries. Other advanced features include push notifications to alert users when their favorite meals are available or their favorite dining halls are at low (50) capacity, and a daily Comprehensive Meal Plan including breakfast, lunch, and dinner recommendations that the app generates for each user according to their meal, dining hall, calorie intake, and dietary restriction preferences.
